I had put dinner in the crock pot this morning, so this afternoon I had time to do some sewing. My hubby's sister makes these hooded bath towels as baby shower gifts. My daughter-in-law ask me to make one for her little one who will be one this month.
I called B and ask for directions and I thought I understood what she meant, but now I'm not sure. At any rate, I bought some less expensive towels the other day so I could practice before I cut into the big towels I bought for the gift. This is what I came up with today. I made another one with a print cuff on the hood, but I want to put some blue rick rack down the front edges like I did on this one.
I had planned to watch the football game tonight, but I got discouraged and gave up early. I wanted to watch a knock-down, drag-out, blow-out. It started out that way, but it didn't last very long.
I put an arm roast in the crock pot this morning with onions, pototoes, carrots, and a can of tomatoes. It was very good. I think the tomatoes made the differece. They added a richness to the broth that things cooked in the crock pot don't usually have. The meat was very tender, too, and hubby liked everything. So that's a winner! And easy, too.
I took some snow photos today, but I didn't go out because the wind had blown all the snow off the branches by the time I got up. They are on the old camera that I left downstairs, so I will have to print some later. We didn't get any more snow today, but the wind blew what we had around a lot. We have drifts that are several feet deep in lots of places. I will have a hard time getting to work by 11:00.
Bedtime already. I am especially thankful for a nice warm house tonight.
How come we repeat quests from No. 1? I believe we learned and got some knowledge and techniques through Maureen's Photo Quests. We must get another results with more knowledge and techniques for, even if, same quest.
Anyway, if you ask me just what I want, my answer is "good friends, excellent music and alcohol" haha.
....At one point I was somewhere (dont know where) talking to somebody who I think was a colleague but not sure who I never actually saw them who said to try some glittery mascara on, which I wouldnt be seen dead in but I put it on and it looked nice.
Then I was wearing edwardian clothing and speaking to somebody about I would need to go and speak to a gentleman who was a solictor, Im at the solicitors office, at first I dont know this man, hes quite cold towards me and I dont know why I was even there to see him. I remember him saying I have a few options and I remember writing down on paper three addresses that seemed to be like hotels in scotland or something like that. Then suddenly he asks how my parents are (so he does know me?) and I say they are fine and he asks me if Im married and I then respond with somethign out of my real life stating im now single and explained what happened to my last relationship. He then seems quite interested and asks me if I would like to go out with him for a dinner/dance that evening and I say yes and we spend a nice evening and start "courting" (this is still in edwardian england).
Now what on earth was that about?
Nails on a chalkboard, TV static, the alarm clock... What noise annoys you most?
Noisy Mopeds and motorbikes
Shouting and yelling
