I want to say "Thank You" to the lovely ladies in the Green Country Quilt Guild for having me out last month. I really enjoyed getting to know many of you at the presentation and we had a very successful workshop. One of the ladies from the workshop, Paula Klaassen, sent me this photo. This is the block she made in class. I think it turned out wonderful! What a great use of color too!
I've had a few people ask me about my upcoming classes and I realized that I don't have a comprehensive list posted anywhere. So here are the dates and places of the classes I will be teaching for the next few weeks:

This past Saturday I taught a quilting class in Chickasha, Oklahoma at Steelman's Quilting and Sew Much More. We were so lucky that the weather cooperated with us. An ice storm came through the state on Monday and the kids lost three days of school but by Saturday it was beautiful, sunny, and 70°.
My classes in Chickasha have been very popular lately. There was so much interest in this class that we couldn't fit everyone in. I have another class scheduled for February 28th, which I believe is already filled and we will have to get together and open another date for March.
If anyone reading this lives in the Oklahoma City area and you have not yet visited Chickasha, you are missing out on a real treat. Below are some pictures of the inside of Phylis and Wade's store. Also, the Lawton Quilt Show is coming up February 20-21 and Chickasha is about 1/2 way between Lawton and OKC. What a great opportunity to stop in and shop!

Yesterday I taught a great group of ladies how to applique at Quilting by Vonnie. This is only the second time I've been to McAlester. If you find yourself out that way, stop in and say "Hi". She is right in the heart of the downtown district at 122 E. Choctaw street. What a great store.
Vonnie loves frogs and has the best collection of frogs I've ever seen. It even rivals Brenda's Frogs!
I had nine students. Five of them made butterflies, one made a cat, one made a dog, one made a fish, and Vonnie made a frog :-)
This Saturday I will be traveling back to Chandler, Oklahoma to teach my all day applique class at Itchin' to be Stitchin'. The photo above shows Julianne and Shirley Wiess (owner) posing in front of my little bunny quilt. They have talked me into letting them test market the pattern.
These ladies are so nice and if you ever find yourself traveling down the I-44 turnpike between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, you must plan to stop in Chandler and visit this charming small town quilt store. Besides the usual quilting fabrics, this store also has an unusual assortment of older one of a kind fabrics. Be sure to buy it when you see it because you won't find it again. I bought several yards of a very cool sage green fabric printed with leaves. It may be from the 1960's. I'm not sure where I am going to use it, but you can be sure it will find it's way into a quilt sometime soon.
Shirley has plans to speak at several local quilt guilds this year. She has a great lecture called Scrap Therapy. If you see her name come up on the list of upcoming speakers, be sure to attend, you'll be glad you did.
Well I am finally back home, but still playing catch up after a delightful four day trip to the Tulsa area.
I travelled out to Broken Arrow on Wednesday, stopping at Itchin' to be Stitchin' in Chandler along the way. I had dinner with my dad and spent the night with my mom in Broken Arrow Wednesday night.
Bright and early Thursday morning, mom and I drove out to Claremore for the first presentation of the day. The ladies were so nice and we had a very large crowd despite the fact that it was 13 degrees that morning. They treated mom and me to a delicious lunch at the Pink House tea room. I had the spinach and bacon quiche with salad. It came with fresh banana bread and a fruit cup with strawberry yogurt on top, YUMMY!!
After lunch we drove out to see my buddy LeAnn of Persimmon quilts. It was nice to visit with her again, I had not seen her in a long time. We had just enough time to catch up on old times before it was time to drive out to Owasso for our evening presentation at the Trails End Quilters Guild.
Friday I drove out to several local quilt stores and had a delicious dinner with my sister and her family at the Olive Garden. Then I taught an all day quilt class at Cyrilla's Artful Needle in Broken Arrow on Saturday.
An exhausting week to be sure but I met many lovely quilters and had a great time. I'm off the hook for next weekend but will be back in Chandler at Itchin' to be Stitchin' on Saturday, February 9th teaching an all day applique class.
